ONE Worshipping CHURCH, TWO WORSHIP EXPERIENCES

We believe in making room for everyone in worship.  Whether you find that sitting in a beautiful sanctuary and participating in worship with an organ and choir is most meaningful to you, or if you engage better in a smaller setting where you can sing along with a lively band and share your prayers of concern and thanksgiving with other worshippers, there is a place for you at our table.

We often say “we are a people of the table” because we love to celebrate Holy Communion together.  We come just as we are to encounter God’s saving grace at Christ's table, and  we are reminded of God's deep and unconditional love for all of us.  Our Traditions for Today worship experience participates in Holy Communion on the first and third Sundays of each month.  Our Open Doors worship experience makes this opportunity available every week.  Life becomes busy sometimes. That’s why you will find a worship service with Holy Communion available to you any Sunday you are able to join us.

Both services offer the opportunity to sing songs of praise and hope, for prayer and opening the Scriptures together, and for hearing the proclamation of the word of God.

Our children are an important part of the life at First Methodist. They are always welcome in worship and can also participate with our children’s ministry where they will have an opportunity to experience God's love through story and fellowship appropriate for their age group.

Safe Sanctuary Nursery and Children's Church available during both services.

Children are encouraged to worship with their families for the first part of the service and are dismissed after the Children's Sermon (Traditions Service) or prayer time (Open Doors).
