More Than

A Photography Project

There is beauty in the broken places of our lives and neighborhood. Join us in a community photography project to illustrate the incredible gifts that are below the surface if we take the time to see them.

On Display Sunday, November 7th, through Sunday, December 5th.
All entries must be submitted by Monday, October 13th at 11:59 p.m. CST.

Submission are invited in three areas, examples of each are provided below:

1) More Than a Memory
When we grieve the loss of a loved one, there is beauty in the knowledge that a piece of them will always live and grow in us - they are more than a memory.

You are invited to submit a photo of a lost loved one who remains more than a memory to you. Please include a sentence or two in the following format - “[Name] is more than a memory. [Name] is…”

2) More Than a Label
When people make assumptions based on a first impression, there is beauty in the fact that our identity is not defined by what others assume - we are more than a label.

You are invited to submit a photo of someone in your life. Please include a sentence or two in the following format - “[Name] is …” and include something about that person that you might never guess from a first impression.

3) More Than What You See
When things begin to crack or break apart, we are often encouraged to discard it for what’s new or next. But there is beauty in finding strength and hope in the well worn objects of our life - our past is more than disposable.

You are invited to submit a photo of a broken, beautiful place around Beaumont. Please include a note about the location where the photo was taken.
